Chris Hickey
Senior Vice President, Sales and Business Development, Core Performance Workplace
Chris Hickey joined the Athletes' Performance team as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) in April 2008. As CMO, Chris has the primary responsibility for building the Athletes' Performance and Core Performance brands across touch points.
Prior to joining Athletes' Performance, Chris was the Director of Performance Nutrition at Abbott Labs where he had responsibility for leading the EAS and Zone Perfect brands. He led the EAS brand to a $50 million profit improvement, the #1 share position, and grew EAS all-outlet consumption by 50 percent. In addition, he created the EAS positioning as the "products the pros use" through the development of the sports nutrition label certification programs with the NFL/NFLPA, MLB/MLBPA, NBPA and PGA. To date, EAS is the only sports nutrition brand certified by all of these leagues and associations with more than 75 pro teams ordering and using EAS products.
Prior to EAS and Abbott Labs, Chris was a Brand Manager at Coors where he led Molson Canadian to be the fastest growing brand among the top 25 imports, and his team was recognized as one of Brandweek's "Guerilla Marketers of the Year". Prior to Coors, Chris developed his marketing skills at Procter & Gamble and General Mills.
Chris received a bachelor's degree from Villanova University in 1995. He continued his education in 2000 by earning a master of business administration from the Darden School at the University of Virginia where he was a member of the prestigious Raven Society.
