About Our Team
Marc Digesti
Performance Specialist
Prior to joining the Core Performance Center in Santa Monica team in May of 2008 as a Performance Specialist, Marc trained with Todd Durkin at Fitness Quest 10 in San Diego, California. During this time, Marc trained everyone from high school football teams to professional baseball players and professional triathletes.
Marc received his BS in Exercise Physiology from California State University, Chico, with an emphasis in strength and conditioning. During Marc's five years in Chico, he worked closely with patients in a rehabilitation and therapy-focused setting in programs such as Adaptive Physical Education, Cardiac/Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Occupational Therapy and Sport Specific Therapy. These experiences instilled a broad working knowledge of the special needs each patient requires to achieve their personal goals.
In January of 2005, Marc was offered a 16-week internship at an elite athletic training facility in Los Angeles—Athletes' Performance. During his internship, Marc trained and assisted in training professional football and baseball players from the LA Galaxy Soccer Team, the LA Chivas Soccer Team, the USTA, and various college football players preparing for the NFL Combine.
Athletes' Performance exposed him to different strength and conditioning philosophies and how those philosophies are combined with athlete-specific methodologies and systems of training. More specifically, Marc learned how to evaluate the body in a 3-dimensional format, how to understand the entire kinetic chain, and how to prescribe and implement athlete-specific exercises and progressions to maximize athletic performance.
Marc has also worked closely with the United States Disabled Ski team as its strength and conditioning coach.
