Darcy Norman
Project Manager, Performance Innovation Team
Darcy has worked or consulted with Athletes’ Performance since 2003, bringing a variety of international training and rehab experience—including being a Fitness and Rehab Coach for FC Bayern Munchen, the 2009 Bundesliga and Pokal Champions and Champions League Finalists. He's also been a Performance Specialist for the HTC Highroad Pro Cycling Team since 2007. Darcy lectures at conferences and classrooms around the world.
He received degrees in Physical Education and Biology with an emphasis in Athletic Training and Pre-Med from Washington State University and a degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Washington. Darcy's a licensed physical therapist, certified athletic trainer, and certified strength and conditioning specialist. His manual therapy skills were developed through the eclectic approach of the North American Institute of Manual Therapy (NAIOMT).
Darcy's expansive knowledge of functional biomechanics and pre- and post-rehabilition testing is a result of continuing education courses and years of developing his own philosophies from working with health care professionals around the world.
Darcy has used to his wellness, rehabilitation, and injury-prevention knowledge to help patients and junior, collegiate, amateur, Olympic, professional, and elite athletes. His personal experience with sports includes competing in alpine skiing, mountain biking and triathlons.
