Former Athletes' Performance Coach Helps Jags Reduce Injury
Congratulations to former Athletes' Performance specialist Luke Richesson on becoming the strength and conditioning coach for the Jacksonville Jaguars. USA Today reports that the recovery and regeneration strategies Richesson brought with him have already helped reduce injuries at camp:
"Luke Richesson replaced Mark Asanovich as the strength and conditioning coach, and he's brought a fresh approach that includes emphasis on recovery between practices. Or as he calls it, "regeneration." Richesson spent the past 10 years at Athletes' Performance in Phoenix, where he helped prepare prospects for the combine and trained the previous four No. 1 overall picks before joining the Jaguars. So far, so good. Del Rio was pleased with the offseason conditioning program Richesson conducted and says "soft tissue" injuries in camp are down significantly."
