Top NFL Draft Picks Trained at Athletes' Performance

Phoenix, AZ- Gulf Breeze, FL-Carson, CA (April 27, 2008) Athletes' Performance is honored to have trained the first overall NFL draft selection for the fourth consecutive year, with QB Matthew Stafford, selected by the Detroit Lions on Saturday, April 25. Previously, Athletes' Performance NFL Combine Preparation participants Jake Long (Miami Dolphins, OT, 2008), JaMarcus Russell, (Oakland Raiders QB, 2007) and Mario Williams, (Houston Texans DE, 2006) were chosen with the top pick.

“Athletes' Performance is the best place in America to train before the Combine. I reached all of my goals and, more importantly, had a great time doing it,” states Matthew Stafford.

Athletes' Performance, recognized as the worldwide leader in sports performance training and physical therapy for all elite athletes, witnessed four of its athletes selected in the top ten (Matthew Stafford, Jason Smith, Aaron Curry, Darrius Heyward-Bey) and a total of nine (Kenny Britt, Vontae Davis, Brian Orakpo, Josh Freeman, Larry English) selected in the first round. Forty total Athletes' Performance NFL Combine Preparation program athletes were selected over the weekend.

Over the past eight seasons, 53 football players that went through the Athletes' Performance Combine Pro Day Training system have been selected in the first round. Athletes' Performance also trained eight first-round picks in the 2008 NFL Draft, including Offensive Rookie of the Year, Matt Ryan.
