Boost Your Brainpower with Blueberries

jslander on flickr

Researchers in the UK recently found that adding blueberries to your diet can improve your memory and may even help ward off Alzheimer’s.

The study, which was published in the journal Free Radical Biology and Medicine, stated that blueberries’ health-promoting flavonoids actually activate the part of the brain that controls memory and learning.

A take-home tip: Organic blueberries contain more flavonoids than their conventional counterparts, according to a Rutgers University study.
