Health News: Omega-3s Build Brainpower

Need another reason to take a daily fish oil supplement? Eating diets high in omega-3 fatty acids—the fat found in fish like salmon and tuna—can improve memory and increase the size of your brain, according to a new study published in the journal Neurology. Researchers looked at red blood cell levels of 1,500 dementia-free adults and found that those with higher levels of DHA, a component of omega-3, had higher brain volume, or size, and improved brain function and memory.
