Picking the Right Slice of Bread

When you must eat bread, opt for a less-processed type, such as pumpernickel, rye, sourdough or whole wheat. With wheat bread, look for "stone-ground" or "crushed wheat" on the label.
Avoid white, buttermilk, or split-top wheat breads; they have too much enriched flour, which has been heavily processed.
