Office Report: Female Workers Aren’t Taking Time to Recover

Women are more likely to work longer hours and use their vacation time to catch up on work, according to statistics from theFIT Report on Workplace Culture survey.

The survey of 5,250 people found that:

  • Women work longer days. 54% of women work 9 or more hours a day, compared to 41% of men.
  • Women work longer weeks. 11% of women work six to seven days a week, compared to 7% of men.
  • Women work more on vacation. 68% of women work while on vacation or don’t take vacations, compared to 62% of men.
  • Women are more honest when calling in sick. Only 1 in 7 women lie when they call in sick, compared to 1 in 5 men.
