Study: 40 Million Americans are Sleep-Deprived
Workers in the United States aren’t getting enough sleep, according to a new study published in this week’s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report.
Researchers from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention analyzed sleep habit data from the National Health Interview Survey. They found that 30 percent of the people surveyed (about 40.6 million U.S. workers) reported getting fewer than six hours of sleep a night, on average.
