Base Rotations to Acceleration

Starting Position
- Standing in athletic base position
Procedure
- Jump slightly off ground and rotate hips to right
- Hit the ground and immediately rotate to left
- Repeat as quickly as possible for prescribed amount of time and then sprint forward 10 yards
Coaching Keys
- Swivel hips only and keep shoulders and torso stationary
- Use arms to counterbalance hips
- Hips to right, arms to left
You Should Feel It
- Working your hips, knees and ankles and challenging your coordination
