Drop Shuffle to Sprint - Soccer

Starting Position
Procedure
- Shuffle backwards on diagonal changing directions every few steps for a predetermined distance and then dropstep into acceleration
Coaching Keys
- Keep feet apart
- Accelerate with perfect posture and body lean with feet driving back and down
- Open inside leg hip, as same elbow punches behind body, then drive foot down and back behind hips during dropstep
- Accelerate with perfect posture and lean, driving feet down and back
- Alternate direction of dropstep with each repetition

- Throughout the entire body
Variation
- Initiate change of direction on shuffles based on visual or auditory cue
- Initiate dropstep based on visual or auditory cue
