Dropstep Skip - Soccer

Starting Position

  • Standing

Procedure

  • Lift knee and foot in front of body
  • Open hip as elbow drives back, and drive foot down to ground generating a double foot contact as opposite foot and knee lift
  • Alternate and repeat moving backward

Coaching Keys

  • Maintain perfect posture, with shoulders facing forward
  • Push foot through the ground as quickly as possible

  • Stretching in hips
