Forward Lunge + Twist (Moving)

Starting Position

  • Standing

Procedure

  • Step forward with left leg into a lunge
  • Rotate trunk to the left, placing right elbow on the outside of the left knee
  • Relax torso and step into next lunge with the right leg and repeat rotation
  • Continue for prescribed number of repetitions

Coaching Keys

  • Do not let front knee slide past foot
  • Contract back glute during stretch

You Should Feel It

  • Stretching the hip flexor of the back leg and the glute of the front leg
