Get Ups to Deceleration - Down Position

Starting Position

  • Push up position, elbows bent, chest on ground

Procedure

  • Push up off ground with arms and accelerate forward 10 yards with piston -like leg action and arms driving back
  • At the end of 10 yards, decelerate into athletic base position
  • Rest and repeat for prescribed number of repetitions

Coaching Keys

  • Accelerate with perfect posture and body lean with feet driving back and down
  • Do not break at waist during acceleration
