Hamstring Stretch - Supine Bent Knee - Tennis

Starting Position

  • Lying face up on ground

Procedure

  • Grab behind the right knee and pull to chest as far as it will go
  • Keeping your knee held against your chest, actively straighten your knee until a stretch is felt in the hamstring
  • Hold for two seconds and let knee bend
  • Repeat stretch for prescribed number of repetitions and switch legs

Coaching Keys

  • Keep your non -stretching leg flat on the ground by pushing the bottom of your heel away from your head
  • Your stretching knee will not straighten completely
