Hip Rotation - Internal- Sidelying

Starting Position

  • On side with bottom knee slightly pulled to chest and top knee in air with foot on ground behind bottom knee

Procedure

  • Rotate bottom knee away from ground
  • Return to start position and repeat for prescribed number of repetitions
  • Switch legs and repeat

Coaching Keys

  • Keep stomach tight
  • Keep hamstrings relaxed, initiating movement from hip rotators in inside of hip

  • Working the inside of the hip
