Hip Rotations - Internal/External - Golf

Starting Position

  • On side with knees slightly pulled to chest

Procedure

  • Open top hip, rotating knee away from ground while maintaining contact between feet
  • Close hip and repeat for prescribed number of repetitions
  • Place top foot on ground with knee in air
  • Close bottom hip, rotating knee away from ground
  • Return to start position and repeat for prescribed number of repetitions.
  • Switch sides and repeat

Coaching Keys

  • Keep stomach tight
  • Keep hamstrings relaxed, initiating movement from hip rotators in outside and inside of hip

  • In the outside and inside of the hip
