Lateral Shuffle - Tennis

Starting Position

  • Base position

Procedure

  • From base position, move to right by pushing off left foot and stepping with right foot
  • Return left foot to base position and repeat quickly until desired distance is covered

Coaching Keys

  • Keep knees behind toes and tension in glutes
  • Keep back flat

You Should Feel It

  • In the glutes and thighs

Variation

  • After shuffling to predetermined point, change direction as if returning a shot
