Physioball Plate Crunch (Behind Head)

Starting Position

  • Lying face up, body arched over the ball, holding a weight behind and supporting your head

Procedure

  • Drape body over ball, feeling mild stretch in abs
  • Curl trunk and pelvis together while keeping the belly button pulled in
  • Return to start position and repeat for prescribed number of repetitions

 

Coaching Keys

  • Arch the torso completely
  • Be sure to roll the chest and hips toward your belly button
