Rope Stretch - Straight Leg Hamstring

Starting Position

  • On back with right leg straight and rope wrapped around foot


  • Actively lift right leg as far as possible, then give gentle assistance with rope until stretch is felt, holding two seconds and relaxing
  • Repeat

Coaching Keys

  • Keep opposite leg on ground by pushing heel as far away from head as possible, contracting the glute
  • Pull rope above head

You Should Feel It

  • Stretching in the hamstring of the bent leg
  • Stretching in the hip flexor of the bottom leg
