Straight Leg Lowering - Supine Alternating with Cable Activation

Starting Position

  • Grab the low pulley handles of a cable machine and lie on the back facing away from the machine with your arms straight over your chest.
  • Raise both legs until they’re over your hips and straight, with the soles of your shoes to the ceiling.

Procedure

  • Keeping your abdominals tight and your spine still, slowly lower your right leg down in front of you.
  • Draw your leg back over your hips and repeat with your left leg.

Coaching Keys

  • Do not let your pelvis move as your leg lowers and push the bottoms of your feet as far away from your hips as possible.

  • Working your torso and stretching your hamstrings.
