Tinioca

Starting Position

  • Standing, feet shoulder-width apart and arms lateral, raised at shoulder level

Procedure

  • Cross right leg in front of left and rotate hips while moving to the left
  • Move your left leg to a base position while pushing off right leg
  • Cross right leg behind left leg, and repeat for prescribed distance
  • Repeat the other direction
  • Arms should move in opposite direction when right leg is crossing in front of left leg

Coaching Keys

  • Keep shoulders facing forward while rotating the hips as quickly as possible
  • Steps should be short and quick
