Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef round tip steaks, cut 1/4-in. thick
  • 2 tsp vegetable oil
  • 1 medium onion, thinly wedged
  • 3/4 cup prepared BBQ sauce
  • 4 crusty rolls, split

Preparation

  1. In a large nonstick skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat until hot.
  2. Add wedged onions, cook and stir for 3 minutes, or until lightly browned.
  3. Remove from skillet and keep warm.
  4. In the same skillet, add 1 pound of beef and stir fry for one minute or until outside surface is no longer pink. Do no overcook.
  5. Stir in onion and barbecue sauce; heat through, stirring occasionally.
  6. Spoon equal amounts of beef mixture on bottom half of each roll and top with the other half.
