Ingredients
- 1 lb crab meat
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup panko bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup lite mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp chives, minced
- 2 tbsp red bell peppers, minced
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp celery seed
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp five spice powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 4 dashes hot sauce
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tsp unsalted butter
Preparation
- Mix 1 pound of crab meat with 1 egg, 1/2 cup of panko bread crumbs, 1/4 cup lite mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons of minced chives, and 1 tablespoon of minced red bell peppers.
- Blend ingredients,
- Season with 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, 1 teaspoon of celery seed, 1/4 teaspoon of five spice powder, 1 teaspoon of onion powder, 1/4 teaspoon of pepper, and 4 dashes of hot sauce.
- Form the mixture into 6 patties.
- In a sauce pan, heat 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil and 2 teaspoons of unsalted butter.
- Cook patties in pan until golden brown (about 4 minutes per side).
